From humble beginnings as a home operation back in 1995, Porcupine Island Company has grown and expanded steadily through the years. The focus has remained the same, however, to provide a unique line of all natural, fat and preservative free cooking sauces, dynamite hot sauces, and outstanding mustards.

Continually seeking to bring its customers the best that Maine has to offer, Porcupine Island Company now carries a select number of high-quality Made in Maine gift and personal items as well, including all natural soaps. Our web site and mail-order catalog detail all these Made in Maine food and gift items as well as our beautiful theme gift boxes.

When growth led to a retail location, Porcupine Island Company sought to incorporate the products of other small Maine food manufacturers who shared common philosophies:

manufacture products in small batches to insure consistent quality

Today Porcupine Island Company manufactures 10 products of its own, and the retail store carries many other “Made in Maine” food products.
